St. Mary’s Corpus Christi Procession

We are so grateful to all of you who participated in our Corpus Christi Procession on Sunday, the 11th of June! Thank you! It was a beautiful expression of our love for the real presence of Jesus, and a sweet gentle witness to our neighbors. We began with the traditional O Salutaris Hostia, a beautiful prayer by St. Thomas Aquinas. It is actually the last two stanzas of the hymn Verbum Supernum Prodiens. You may click the link below to see this prayerful hymn in Latin, in its literal translation to English, and the poetic verse translation, too! It makes for a sweet, short devotional reading on the Eucahristic feast, the Last Supper, and Christ’s Passion. (Scroll down for pictures from Sunday’s special event. Many thanks to Jonathan Castro and family for these pictures – we were so happy to have you all with us!)
