The Feast of Corpus Christi, also known as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, commemorates the institution of the Holy Eucharist and celebrates the Real Presence: the fact that Jesus is really, truly, and substantially present under the appearances of bread and wine.
At a time in the Church when less than one-third of American Catholics believe that the Eucharist is the true Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, this feast could not be more relevant and important.
